Nantlle Ridge

... fine views of coast and countryside!

Nantlle Ridge - highest point, Craig Cwm Silyn - 734 metres

The Nantlle Ridge (in Welsh known as Crib Nantlle) is a range of mountains starting in the Village of Rhyd Ddu and heading south-west for a distance of nearly 9 km / 6 miles, at the other end is the village of Nebo. The Nantlle Ridge is an option for those who enjoy hill walking, with good views out to the coast and of surrounding countryside and mountains. It is less popular than some other parts of Snowdonia and so walkers tend to see fewer people. It can be started by driving to Rhyd Ddu or by first walking from Nantgwynant starting out along the Watkin Path, before turning off to cross over Snowdon South Ridge and then down to Rhyd Ddu.

[Routes on Nantlle Ridge does not feature in either 'Walks in and around Nantgwynant' or 'More Walks in and around Nantgwynant', although it can be clearly seen from some of the walks.]
