Welsh Highland Railway

The Welsh Highland Railway runs past the end of the Nantgwynant valley. It is a 25 mile long narrow gauge heritage railway running from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.

There is a station in Beddgelert and Rhyd Ddu. Beddgelert railway station was in operation, with a passing loop and three sidings, from 1922 to 1936, and reopened as part of the Welsh Highland Railway on 2009.
