Due to the low density of population in the Nantgwynant Valley, there is little light polution. On a clear night the view of stars and planets can be stunning. Eryri National Park / Snowdonia National Park is one of only eighteen International Dark Sky Reserves in the world (as at October 2024). On a clear night it is possible to see the Milky Way, major constellations and shooting stars. Look out for bats, owls and other night wildlife too!
