With lakes, rivers and waterfall all in or near the Nantgwynant Valley there are options for water activities which can include:

During the summer it is often possible to hire boats from the campsite next to Llyn Gwynant.

Before undertaking any water activies be sure to comply with any permission or licence requirement, and be sure to follow safety advice and codes of best practice. Always pay careful attention to weather and water conditions on the day.

For those walking up the Watkin Path the pools below the waterfalls next to the path often appear popular with those looking for somewhere to take a dip.

Play y Brenin, just to the north of the head of the Nantgwynant Valley also runs water activity training course for those looking to gain new skills.
